XC Clinic

Every spring since 1999, Parasoft has offered an advanced clinic to teach pilots how to fly cross country. This is easiest where you can take-off and land anywhere: in the flat lands. As 2002 results show, many new pilots had XC flights of many miles and an experienced pilot almost broke the state record of 108 miles! We use tandem gliders to pair inexperienced pilots with cross country pilots to accelerate their learning. We provide chase vehicles and experienced pilots to coach and retrieve you. We provide classroom sessions to point out the finer points needed to get longer flights.
